Historic Detroit

Every building in Detroit has a story — we're here to share it

Guardian Detroit Bank (Brightmoor Branch)

The building was opened as a branch of the Guardian Bank Detroit. Sometime during the depression the bank went under.

From 1941-1976 the building housed the Roger Williams Branch of the Detroit Public Library.

After serving as the library a Detroit Police Mini-Station was located in the building.
