Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (March 27, 1886 - Aug. 17, 1969)

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was one of the pioneering masters of Modern architecture, helping to forever change the American landscape. Lafayette Park in Detroit is the greatest collection of his buildings in one place in the world and is a national historic place. Mies was a German architect.
