The John E. Lambert House at 160 Virginia Park Street was designed by the prominent Detroit architectural firm Malcomson & Higginbotham for John E. Lambert and built in 1908. The substantial residence is part of the Virginia Park Historic District. By 1919, the house was occupied by the Lambert family, with Mrs. E. S. Reid listed as a hostess for Detroit's Pi Beta Phi chapter.
