Edmund A. Vier, a Detroit native and prominent former real estate broker, was born near Grand Circus Park. He attended Detroit College, St. Mary’s College, and Regis College in Denver, and later spent four years studying at universities in England and Belgium. After 25 years in the real estate business, Vier served five years in a civil service position with the State of Michigan. In his leisure time, he was an avid patron of the legitimate theater.
