Van Zile Elementary

The first unit of this school on East Outer Dr. was built in 1921 as the "Outer Boulevard Public School" and later renamed Van Zile School.

A large addition was built in 1950 with five classrooms, gymnasium, library, auditorium and a large kindergarden at a cost of $535,000, roughly $7,000,000 in 2024, when adjusted for inflation.

The school closed ca. 2011.
