City of Detroit III - Photos Gothic Room

Salvaged from the City of Detroit III before it was scrapped in 1956, the Gothic Room spent a decade in an Ohio barn awaiting a new home. After the Dossin Great Lakes Museum was built, Detroiters and maritime enthusiasts raised funds to acquire it. Volunteers then dedicated thousands of hours to restore and install this rare piece of Great Lakes maritime heritage
