The 1908 Detroit Journal Building. Note the walls of former First Congregational Church behind the building on the left.

The Detroit Journal Building of 1908, which was erected in front of the Journal's former home, the former First Congregational Church. On the left, you can see the walls of church, which was rebuilt following a fire in 1900.

The Detroit Journal Building is seen at left in this photo looking west on West Fort Street. The former Federal Building is at right.
