The S.S. Kresge Building showcases intricate Art Deco sculptural ornamentation, concentrated in three key areas: around the main entrance, along the belt course between the third and fourth floors, and at the cornice of the building's central section.

The cornice is adorned with twelve crowned heads, presented in three distinct, alternating styles.

An uncommon depiction (bearded) of Mercury, the Roman god of commerce, is positioned above the main entrance.

Above the brass-framed plate glass doors, a bronze grille showcases an Art Deco pattern featuring a stylized plant motif.

Stylized decorative motifs symbolizing commerce flank the door on either side.
