Arthur M. Pelletreau House (1424 Iroquois)

In 1905, Kahn designed the Arthur M. Pelletreau House at 1424 Iroquois Street in Detroit's historic Indian Village neighborhood. This home is one of three similar designs Kahn created for the Cook Farm Company, with the others located at 1410 and 1411 Iroquois Street.

The house features a hipped roof with a centrally located main mass and a projecting front-gabled wing. A partial-width, hipped-roof porch with round wood columns, brick wing walls, stone steps, and terrazzo flooring shelters the main entrance. The exterior walls are clad with brick and wood shake, showcasing the architectural elegance of the era.
